Halloween

Justin went out of town to go hunting Halloween weekend, and since I was by myself with Haley all day Saturday I didn't think I'd be up for taking her trick or treating. So we had an early dinner and then Haley had an early bath and got dressed in her halloween pajamas to help me hand out candy.I wasn't sure how she would do with giving away "Haley's chocolate", but she did really well. It was a little slow at first and she kept busy by asking for and eating a couple pieces of candy. She decided that she definitely likes Nestle crunch better than Kit Kats.As people started coming she got really excited and kept running down the sidewalk saying "they're coming, they're coming" and then she would hand out candy. We are the first house on a cul-de-sac and people would come to us as they turned down our street and she would actually get mad when they walked by as they were leaving the cul-de-sac and didn't stop for more candy. There was one point when a group of 4-5 kids came up and she gave candy to the first two and then just froze at the third kid. I handed him his candy and realized that he was wearing a pretty scary mask, and that was probably why Haley didn't want to give him anything, but she didn't get scared at all.During downtime she would eat some chocolate and ask for "one more". Even before she had finished chewing the last piece. We did go to our next door neighbors (they gave us the halloween pjs) and Haley picked out some Smarties from their candy bowl and really enjoyed sitting in her chair on the porch eating some candy.
