A Night at the "Circus"

Albany is not a very big town, so the attractions that visit the area are not the biggest thing around. So I use the term "circus" very loosely here, but the circus came to town. And by town, I mean they set up in the field next to the mall parking lot. But we got coupons in the mail, and for $3 I could take Haley to the 4:30 show on a Tuesday afternoon. It had been raining for two days and stopped around lunch time on Tuesday. So it was extremely muddy and extremely muggy. And it was in a tent, outside, in Albany GA, in the middle of May, in late afternoon - and it was HOT! Check my little punk's rosy red cheeks. So the circus started and there were two short performances and then there was an intermission, so we could go outside and spend money to ride and feed the animals. Since I saved like $12 on my admission ticket I went ahead and splurged for the $1 cup of food for the goats.Haley really like feeding the goats and giggled each time they touched her hand. She was also very serious about it and kept her hand out until every last little piece of food was licked right off.We headed back into the sauna tent, but Haley was not happy about being in the heat and sitting still anymore. So we wondered back outside to look at the other animals without the crowd.Haley really enjoyed looking at the elephants and kept shaking the fence and trying to get closer. She also made the elephant noise several times trying to get their attention. We saw some ponies headed under the tent next and went back in long enough to get a picture and wave bye-bye to the animals. It wasn't a bad afternoon, and with the coupons it was reasonably priced, I just think it might have been more enjoyable in March or in Alaska.
