Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving weekend started for us when we got back from Missouri at 7 am Tuesday morning. Anna and Haley continued to play well together, and we continued to get them together, because it's so much easier when they are able to entertain each other. Haley's pants don't really match because she continued to be poopy for a couple of days and we finally realized it was due to the 4 new teeth she was cutting. But she was happy and Anna taught her how to "wash the germs away" in the pretend sink that really sounds like running water.Justin came up to Columbia Wednesday night after work and Thursday we spent most of the day eating, relaxing, and playing at his grandparent's house. We had quite the spread of delicious food and too many amazing deserts! Haley even got to sit at the grown up table with the rest of us.Haley ate some turkey, ham, peas, butter beans, macaroni 'n cheese, and sweet potatoes for her first Thanksgiving. She also got a little taste of cool whip, but I wouldn't give her any of my pie! After lunch we all sat around and tried to stay awake. Haley did her part with a spoon and pan musical show. But other than that she was completely ignored and got no attention whatsoever. She finally gave in and took a little nap though, after all it's tough fighting to be the center of attention. After Haley's nap, Grandma fixed her a plate of leftovers that we took over to Susiebelle's house for dinner. Then Haley and Susiebelle took a little walk to try to work off some of the excess calories of the day.We had a great day full of good food and really enjoyed spending time with our families. We have so much to be thankful for and really counted our blessings and appreciated our lives this year. And I can't imagine anything to be more thankful for than this sweet smiling girl.
